He's not a bit simple. He's all the way simple. He's thick as shlt and brutally deluded. Not forgetting that he's the biggest bully and coward in boxing today. He likes to act tough on lower level fighters, but won't put himself in there against the best when it matters.

Gone are the days where fighters would do witty trash talk rather than using foul language or issuing outrightly insane comments. Such comments won't make his the "baddest man on earth" that he hopes to achieve but chances are he will become the "biggest douchebag on earth". Clearly, he doesn't mean any of those comments but they are still in bad taste.

The idea is not to intentionally take the life of your opponent though, as Wilder says he wants to do. This kind of talk might appeal to certain bloodthirsty types, but it also ensures that Wilder will remain obscure in his own country, at least until he finally is forced to fight the guys he is now avoiding....
