Never, ever, mention Wilder in a sentence with Ali again. EVER. Ali fought everybody for 2 decades. He fought wars. He never ducked a man because of purse splits. He never turned down unification fights. He never said no to being paid 50 TIMES HIS BIGGEST PAY DAY to fight for all the belts. He also fought on foreign soil against the best there too. And you never heard him say he wanted a body on hid record either. This whole Wilder thing has gotten out of control with the talking and not backing up his actions. Ali backed his up with classic fights, wars and moments that we will never forget. Wilder has fought bums, talked smack and ducked the best fighters of his era.

If you wanna make boxing bigger you should start by admitting defeat, admit that you lost to Tyson fury and that he's the sole owner of that wbc belt

I’m a Deontay Wilder fan. I’m a bigger fan of boxing as a whole than I am any particular fighter. But if I actually sit down and think about it. Wilder is probably my favorite current fighter. Mostly based on how close Birmingham/Tuscaloosa is to Nashville. And the amount of times I’ve seen him fight live.

That said, Wilder is a KO and/or upset loss itching to happen. Not unlike a lot of fighters that have had special one punch power. Wilder has fallen in love with his power. And in doing so, he’s started to neglect other parts of his game. He’s never been a technical genius. But when he was a prospect coming up the ranks, he would work behind his jab and halfway setup his punches. And he was also defensively responsible. That could have been partly due to the competition he was facing. It’s easy to follow a game plan when there’s no resistance in front of you. But it seems like ever since the first Steverne fight, he’s lost a lot of technique. He’s quick to abandon the game plan. And he basically follows guys throwing wild one-twos. And when he’s not attacking, he’s basically jus backing up giving ground, and waiting on either the guy to stop punching or the ref to separate them in the event of a tie up. And fortunately for him, his power has bailed him out of more than a handful of fights that he probably lost if they went the full twelve.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he lost this weekend. Breazeale is better technically. And unlike Fury, he hits hard enough to make Wilder pay for his mistakes. And I expect Wilder to be more anxious, more predictable, and more sloppy than normal because of the bad blood. And wanting to get Breazeale outta there quicker than AJ did.

FURY ran from immediate rematch and now will be fighting a taxi driver ranked 35th or something. They knew WILDER would finish FURY so they are stalling. JOSHUA low balled WILDER so bad it was embarrassing. WILDER is still pushing for biggest fights but that right hand makes other fighters and there camps pause.

Could you maybe just point out how $120m 3 fight deal which includes Breazeale is a “low ball” which is “so bad it’s embarrassing”?

Because, like the majority of people, I’m of the view that the embarrassment lies with the Wilder side rather than DAZN

Yup, the article was absolute ass gravy; a particularly spineless act of genuflexion.

Ali is my all time no.1 sports icon. His story is absolutely beautiful and he had the skills to match. Comparing Wilder to Ali in any way should really be a sackable offence!
