Promoter Barry McGuigan is expecting fireworks when his man, undefeated Josh Taylor, challenges dangerous world champion Ivan Baranchyk for the IBF super lightweight title in Glasgow on Saturday. The contest is part of the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series. The winner will face WBA champion Regis Prograis.

I agree. Taylor should let Baranchyk open up and counter while keeping a tight defence and picking him apart. Put some meat into the shots though to make Baranchyk think twice about being too wild.

Saturday can't come soon enough because the card is class.

Agree on all points. Excellent card! Taylor needs to stay smart and let Baranchyk commit mistakes. But Baranchyk isn’t no push over. This will be one hell of a dust up. Taylor by 12th round TKO in a fight where both warriors take as good as they give.

Speed kills and Josh has the edge. If he improves even more on the Ryan Martin showing then Baranchyk is getting blazed. Let's have it, Saturday!

This should be a great fight. And no doubt the crowd will be going crazy rooting for their man. Can't wait to see if Taylor can win the IBF crown. "The beast" will be trying to take his head off though.

Taylor looks awesome in this shadow boxing session, showing tremendous hand speed and tight form.

Taylor fighting in Scotland - based on the judge scorecards vs Postol, Baranychyk is already 4 rounds down. I had Taylor beating Postol, but 1 judge giving him 11 rounds ? That was criminal.

Agreed. Prograis should turn down whatever offer they make to have the fight in Scotland. Have the final in Dubai.

That is what he should do but don't talk about it publicly right before the fight

By the way Ivan Baranchyk is not some Robotic, Slow, Flat Footed fighter at all. He has fast hands which is why despite being WIDE he is able to get away with it because those hands come around quickly. Also Can move his feet very well. His defense is solid too, uses a very good high Guard and he mixes up his punches very well, good body puncher

This is a excellent fight! Sad it is not getting more attention
