    Michael "Mick" Conlan's amateur career ended in controversy and a pair of middle fingers. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Conlan appeared to have bested Russian standout Vladimir Nikitin in the 56-kilogram quarterfinals. The judges disagreed, and Conlan responded with a memorable double middle-finger salute.

    Nothing appealing about this fight tbh. Yes, there was a huge argument at the Olympic Games, so what? Both fighters are mediocre

      Surprised they'd pull the trigger this soon. I guess they don't trust Nikitin to remain unbeaten for long even against record-padders. Would be absolutely hilarious if he won though

        Top Rank must really not have any hope for the Russian fighter that's why they making this fight to early... cause if they thought he was good they would marinate this fight....lol

            I'm not too worked up about this fight, but Nikitin had some outside help during the Olympics. The Thai guy was robbed, and Conlan has a legitimate beef. With this fight being in Belfast, the shoe is on the other foot. Let's see how Nikitin fares on hostile ground.
