The excuses coming thick and fast. People were even making excuses when Pac beat Barrera who was coming off of a 8 streak win and being either no1 or 2 pfp. So this doesn't surprise me.
Floyd ducked one time Thurman when Floyd was 36 years old. Now Thurman has 4 years more experience and in prime.
Pac is FOTD if he beats Thurman. Thurman is arguably the best WW, since Crawford and SPencer didn't fancy proving otherwise.

He picked him because he looked vulnerable in his last fight.

Floyd often picked fighters as he saw vulnerabilities. Hatton was unbeaten but moving up to 147 he struggled against Collazo and other fighters and looked very beatable. He picked Nelo as Nelo was green and couldn't even ko old SSM, so FLoyd picked Nelo. Nelo had not outpointed any monsters of note and hadn't ko'ed anyone of note also and it was a CW. Which is worse than fighting a great fighter having a bad day at office whilst winning.
Don't think Floyd whilst sitting on the sidelines didn't cherry pick.
When your 40 years old and 70 fights under belt you cant really consider it a cherry pick. Thurman is unbeaten. He is allowed to look bad once and have an off night. Doesn't take away Thurmans wins and all advantages.

Ridiculous if you're too concerned with Thurman who has every advantage in his favor. He is bigger, stronger, younger and he is a champion in his physical prime in this new generation.

What concerned me is a fighter like Pacquiao who is 40 years old, 2-feet tall, who has more wars in his body than you can ever imagine, who belongs to a yesteryear's generation and is about to fight a natural welterweight champion or should we say weight bully.

The way I see it, this is a suicide mission for Pacquiao. There's just no way he wins this. If he does, well then, kudos he is the only champion in 3 generations. He took incredible risk, he should be rewarded the same. Now on to the next suicide mission in facing Spence.

The Pacman the only 8 Division Champ. If he wins vs Thurman in my book must considered him the GOAT.

Thurman is a body punch from Crawford/Spence away to folding like a tin can. Mr Getting Back Year. On his bike doing boxerobics getting his chin checked by a washed up journeyman.
