As a general rule of thumb it's usually best not to mention h2h results usually the argument don't get you far. But pac was not far removed from his ko to jmm and was gun shy. Wasnt a great win for floyd. People weren't impressed with floyd s performance at all. Many don't think he won. Jmm had 4 attempts. Floyd cheated scales. You couldn't help mentioning jmm but don't like acknowledging Floyd cheating scales.
Why don't Floyd give jmm 4 chances? Especially since he cheated first fight. Why not give Pac another chance at least.? Floyd knows on the whole people think his win over PAC is unsatisfactory tomput mildly

All of those wins by Manny were impressive, but also very convenient.

Cotto was coming off a stoppage to Margarito (first loss) and then a draw with Clottey using a new, inexperienced trainer. Nevertheless it was a good win!

Hatton was never the same after Floyd. He was consistently hurt by much lesser fighters in pretty much every fight after Floyd. Hatton was through on the world stage. Manny was a -300 favorite to win that fight for a reason...

DLH was through even before Floyd. I think prime DLH beats prime Floyd - some people will get bent up about that, but it's the truth. Prime DLH also beats Manny. In the Floyd scenario Oscar was at a healthy weight, controlled ring size, and picked Floyd's glove. In Manny's fight DLH was dead at the weight...he weighed less than Manny on fight night - that's incredible. He weighed less than a SFW/JW on the actual night of fight after not fighting beloiw 154 for like 6-7 years? Wow.

Margarito was always a hypejob. His career accomplishment was stopping Cotto and there is a lot of fuss about the potential use of plaster hand wraps. What happened after his career climax? He got TKO'd by Shane Mosley. Embarassing. And after that he went the distance with some random journeyman. The myth of Margarito was long shattered and Manny was simply collecting a "name" by that point.

That's the reality.

Manny's best wins above WW are Tim Bradley (3 times), JMM 3 (which was debatable), Hatton, Clottey, Jesse Vargas.

Sadly we also need to acknowledge there may've been PED use going on. Manny's camp gets a pass for unknown reasons regarding their refusal to drug test - it's unacceptable. Period. That was very su****ious...Manny's career achievements occured during the timeline in his career where he refused random PED testing. Shady, shady, shady

Right, but All-Time lists aren't based solely on H2H. As others have suggested Manny clobbered some of Floyd's toughest opponents (DLH, Cotto, etc.). Sure the circumstances were different, but Manny still outperformed Floyd in those matchups. Similarly Floyd did the same thing with JMM (arguably won 12-0 with a KD) and those circumstances were different too.

In an All-Time sense though Manny is a bit behind Floyd, but unifying at WW at the age of 40-41 would be pretty incredible. That would definitely put him above Floyd for me.
