Maybe Manny has taken on a fight too far, since Horn he has carefully chosen those who are on the way out or who have a problem. So where does Thurman sit in all this? He did look second rate against Lopez but that was after a long layoff so is he determined to fight his way back or is he looking for a payout so he can spend hippy time with his Asian sweetheart?

This bout should serve as gauge on just how much mileage and wear and tear that Manny Pacquiao has left in the gas tank. If Keith Thurman loses to a 40 and half year old Manny Pac, then he should seriously ponder retirement.

If not, then he'll be one step closer to gatekeeper status and subsequently a stepping stone for young and rising prospects.

In any case, I am expecting a hotly contested and highly competitive championship bout between these two and also the Porter vs Spence title unification bout.
