There is a lot of hate and racism against mexican boxing .

      I don't know why...

      Envy and stereotypes maybe
I’m in Canada so maybe the politics of it doesn’t bleed together with the boxing as much. But I know in my circles we love Mexican fighters. The stereotype I think of is that two Mexicans fighting is going to be a war. I don’t watch Hockey, so I appreciate that boxing is Mexico’s pastime. Great Mexican fighters bring those pesos and with that fan favourite style they have been well represented on screen. Mexican boxing culture is well appreciated and revered by commentators too. There’s always racism but those who hate Mexican boxing aren’t real boxing fans. Redheads get a lot of flak too. I even love that most Mexican fighters will always cheer for the Mexican. I’ll always cheer for a Canadian, and they are usually born somewhere else!!

I appreciate your comment, you are a real fan of boxing.

But fans like you are the minority.

You don't know the amount of hate that I have been reading since years ago in forums. And in spanish sides it's the same, there is a lot of hate of some writers and latino fans.

And I can't understand this because most of mexican champions are very humble persons, they are good persons and generally they take a lot of risks in their career and they fight in a lot of places around the world.

And if I talk about mexican boxing achievements the people start to talk about how patriotic I'm.

It's crazy, is like see a lot of soccer fans talk sh.it about soccer of Germany or Italia...

But well, generally the fans from Canadá are educated and smart people.

          Greetings.

Ruiz could say what he wants, he is a sorry opponent for Joshua. Especially on short notice.

I saw Linares and Valero fight in a dusty bull ring in cancun city. Only Gringo there save Don King and Lou Dibella. Also a few Japanese fans with a flag. But that’s the point, we were all fans, these were my people. We all fight on here, but truth is I think out in the real world we’d all be happy to meet another forum member regardless of race or origin. We all want to relate. Everyone secretly likes everyone else on here just as a boxing fan themselves also. Who else would u rather be stuck on an elevator with?

He lives 10 mins away from Mexico. His dad was born there so he thought he'd have a better chance as a Mexican Olympian than an American one due to competetivness.

What does "especially on short notice" mean?
