Emanuel Augustus is a club fighter who spent the last 10 years trying to earn a living boxing in Texas. He would take money to fight anywhere on little to no notice, and garnered a following by putting on exciting fights in some losing efforts.

His taking fights on short notice has seen him lose many bad decisions. He has lost a lot of fights, but is a true fighter.

Just like Chuck Wepner getting a shot at Ali inspired Rocky, the growing number of people who follow Augustus on ESPN want to see him get a crack at a big fight.

so we don't watch boxing if we don't know about the biggest loser in the history of the sport? or know about some foreign heavyweights who haven't fought anyone ranked in the top 15-20 of any organization? give me a break. you follow the unknowns just to act like you're the man when it comes to boxing. you know a lot about nothing. congratulations.
