    Rolls talks training

Interesting article about what Golovkin and Rolls want to improve on.

Never liked what I saw in the video clips coming out of the gym when he was with Sanchez.
Question.... At age 37 is it too late??

In short.. yeah, it is too late. Don't get me wrong, Golovkin's style should age relatively well. But it takes a year or two to get completely acclimated to the new trainer. By that time, Golovkin will be 39.

TBH I think Golovkin made the most of a relatively crappy situation he ended up. Sanchez was doing a good job promoting him and building him up, so he needed that to get a big fight. He couldn't replace Sanchez between Canelo fights, as that's a recipe for disaster. Now that he can replace him, it's late.

Golovkin’s trainer is called Banks. Rolls is his next opponent. Even though they are both African, they are not the same person.

Think so? I feel like Golovkin has always had the tools, but that the gamelans and coaching from Sanchez were holding him back. In really excited to see him with a new trainer. His cardio is exceptional for his age and he hasn't been in a lot of wars so I think there's time for him.
