Its considered closed circuit & accounted for differently + takes more time to figure out cuz its harder to count the tickets sold.Comment

DAZN will make their money as long as they keep the stars on their platform.
But for the love of God please hire a better broadcast team. FIRE Kenny & Mora asap. I used to give Lampley sh-t the last few years of HBO boxing & Roy as well but I'd take those two in a heart beat.
Idk what's worse DAZN or FOX. ESPN has gotten better with the addition of Max and Ward but they were in the same boat not too long ago. Showtimes got the most solid team, but they have their off nights as well here and there. God I didn't think I'd miss HBO this muchComment

I mean again, if that is the case then they are no close to a million subscribers as bigdunny1 stated. If they only had 300-400k subscribers heading into the event, then Canelo didn't move the needle to the point they surpassed that amount.
The more important thing is how many subscribers they retained after the fight. And I guess as equally important is how many subscribers will fail to cancel their service in a months time LOL.Comment

You do realize this just who watched it live right? So you think NOBODY who is subscribed to DAZN either for another sport other then boxing? or just had shyt to do and didn't watch live? So you think every subscriber watched live? I watched it at friend's house who had a party for the fight so I'm a subscriber but not live viewer. You also have people who subscribe to DAZN for MLB Baseball or for Bellator. What if you are subscriber but just wanted to watch the fight at the bar?Last edited by bigdunny1; 05-08-2019, 03:25 PM.Comment

Even that most get the subscription for the fights they have to better the production. Those announcers except for Kenny left a lot to be desired.Comment

1.2M was the overall who viewed the fight worldwide. This is counting ALL people who watched for some period of time or any period of time (not sure how they count that exactly).
I'm just using the % of US viewers on the peak & converting it to the overall. Could be 100% right, could be 100% wrong, probably is close within a reasonable range.Last edited by Eff Pandas; 05-08-2019, 03:28 PM.Comment

The story says US viewership for @Canelo @DanielJacobsTKO peaked at 600,000, so that’s a strong indication of what the subscriber base is near, industry sources say.

So looks like Pugmire is hearing they have around 600,000 subscribers. That sounds more accurate than them hitting a million after this fight.Comment
