Because African Americans don't have a built in fan base.Unless you create a "rassin" persona like Mayweather who most paid to see him lose(and never did get their dream)they are not promoted the same. Some is prob racism and some might have to do with the fact more have a "boxer" style, and some might just be a pride in your tribe kind of thing. The one thing I do know is that if you gave a manager/promoter a choice between Mexican,PR,Irish or even Polish and a African American they would take the African American last, even if you told them that the AA prospect was a BIT better then others.

I think a Canelo vs GGG part 3 would warrant a PPV as well as a Wilder vs Joshua, but agreed on Wilder vs Fury and Spence vs Crawford.
Those are super fights.Comment

Plenty of PPV fights have involved African Americans.
Mayweather/Berto, Mayweather/Mosley, Mayweather/Judah, Hopkins/Jones, Tarver/Jones, Jones/Harding, Toney/Holyfield, Tyson/Holyfield, Bowe/Holyfield, Tyson/Entienne, Holyfield/Foreman, Douglas/Holyfield, etc.
The main issue here is Thurman vs Pacquiao is PPV a couple weeks before, and the winners of the two fights will be PPV. To really maximize the Thurman/Pacquiao winner vs the Spence/Porter winner, one of the fights needed to be on Fox, to get that huge exposure.Comment

Nah aint that deep. Spence is still unknown. Mikey brought in the latino crowd for their fight. Porter not big enough help sell the fight. Plus we all know its a mismatch.
Thurman/Spence a ppv fight thoComment

One of the reasons Floyd said he left Bob was his inability to market to African Americans and the urban boxing fan. I don’t think that is the case but Bob doesn’t hasn’t had as much success with prominent African American fighters once boxing became less of a mainstream sport.Because African Americans don't have a built in fan base.Unless you create a "rassin" persona like Mayweather who most paid to see him lose(and never did get their dream)they are not promoted the same. That last paragraph is spot on and a very good point.Plenty of PPV fights have involved African Americans.
