Wilder’s boxing is poor, but his overall athleticism is supreme and he will be able to engage and retreat as he pleases because his foot-speed advantage over the glacial Breazeale is massive. Breazeale doesn’t have the boxing skill to counter or time Wilder coming in either. His offence involves trying to walk through the other guy’s offence to assert his own. He’s basically tailor made for Wilder and is likely to just walk face-first straight towards him until he gets clocked.
Eventually I see Wilder landing and putting Breazeale down. The referee can probably be relied upon to put in a Washington stoppage given any opportunity since we all know who the establishment are rooting for (I’m not even complaining here, it’s just a fact of the boxing business)
Some interesting points in this fight though. Will Wilder be affected by the pressure to dispose of Breazeale quicker than Joshua?
I can’t wait to see it
