I like this better than Gamboa! I was hoping to see Nunez vs. Cherry first, to see what Nunez was all about! He's 21-2 w/ 19 KOs, but no significant wins! Hey, but neither did Andrew Cancio, until he broke Machado!

The World Boxing Association (WBA) has advised BoxingScene.com that their championships committee has ordered a mandatory fight between the super featherweight champion of the divisio, Gervonta Davis, and the main challenger, Panamanian Ricardo Nunez.
... this Ricardo Nunez was never scheduled to fight a 12 rounder up to now... (and his last fight was a 8 rounder...)

Looks like he is a KO guy so either he tests Davis chin or he tests the taste of the canvas. Either way, I guess we know who Davis homecoming fight opponent will be.

I think fighting another champion is not in Eberle's blueprints for Davis until 2025. He's not even trash talking in twitter anymore

That would be awesome, but that means more pressure on him to fight Loma .

There’s plenty of great work for Davis at 130 but he’s being overprotected. If he could add names like Diaz, Berchelt and Farmer to his thin resume and make out with 2-3 belts that’ll count as a respectable run. It seems like he’s bought into the career blueprint that TMT has drawn out for him. I guess as long as the money is right he’s going down the part of least resistance.

Fat ass should go for other champions: whether 130 or 135, I don't care.
