I do think that was a bad move. But, I just really don't know what he has going on with his promotion and sometimes a mans word is worth more than money.
At least that's how I operate.

Got ya - yeah for the record I never thought he would anything close to that offer. So maybe I am wrong again and he can get more in the future.

Just seems like a ton of money to leave on the table, and it seems like that was a dream offer, can't see what else he could be wanting. I fear he got bad advice from those around him, who may be more concerned with their needs more so than his.

      We will see though!

Oh, I agree. That's more than enough to take care of his family for a few generations. I would have taken it.

That said, he and his current promotion may have already had an agreement and even if it is verbal, a mans word should still mean something.

Plus, that money will come anyways as long as Wilder just keeps winning. But to me, he's got Fury problems first and I think that offer was made when Wilder was thinking he was negotiating with Tyson for a rematch.

I hear ya, good post - I guess Wilder himself said he was betting on himself here.

I can't imagine Breazeale beating him...but who knows. It only takes one punch in boxing, especially at HW.

Hopefully we get some of those good fights at HW soon!

I don't think DAZN wanted AJ/Usyk so soon. Having him fight AJ after only beating Takam doesn't seem like it will attract many new subscribers or viewers since many don't know Usyk, despite him IMO being a top 3 p4p boxer.

IMO, if Usyk can handle the power of guys like Wilder and AJ, he will beat them all because he is in better shape and is IMO a far superior boxer. I guess with the injury maybe the best thing is to have the fight in December.

I'm not particularly a Wilder fan and actually prefer him to lose but I just happen to think that he's a pretty sick fighter and would probably beat anyone in the division not named Fury. I think he can hit Joshua easily and he can hurt anyone. He will obliterate Breazeale anytime he decides to. It's a cake walk.

Yep nor am I. He has a good puncher's chance against anyone though. And his boxing skills are improving imo. I don't think Fury was quite as dominant against him as other do, but he certainly was winning almost every second of the last 6 rounds other than the 2 times he got caught.

I actually think Joshua beats him - but of course that means he doesn't get caught by Wilder which is a big possibility. Or he doesn't gas out late, which also is fairly likely. I just think skills wise Joshua would dictate everything and if he was careful he would beat up on Wilder.

Wilder is tough though and has a lot of heart imo so he may hang in there long enough to score a big punch.

I totally agree. Wilder is definitely not the best boxer out of the two but in my opinion, if he was able to hit the most elusive heavy out there (Fury), he will definitely hit AJ.

                  HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
