Matchroom Fighters Have Been Getting Very Generous Scorecards

Canelo vs. Jacobs (Matchroom) - 115-113 twice for Canelo. You need to watch a different sport if you can give Jacobs more than 4 rounds. And even 4 rounds is generous.

Estrada vs. Rungvisai (Matchroom) - 115-113 twice for Estrada. Again, if anyone gives Rungvisai more than 4 rounds they need to watch a different sport. 4 rounds is a bit generous too but it’s acceptable.

Roman vs. Doheny (Matchroom) - 113-113 draw. That judge needs to be shot. Roman knocked Doheny down twice, won the majority of the rounds, and had Doheny looking like he got hit by a train. How the hell can you come up with that score?

*Roman is a Matchroom fighter too but he is co-promoted by Thompson Boxing.

What is up with these scores?

Matchroom’s stable is getting squashed so I see why Hearn is in no rush to make Canelo vs. Andrade and Diaz vs. Farmer.

They're American judges. And we know how bad THEY are.

True, boxing is America should be banned because they can't score boxing.

I mean I talk about this ALL THE TIME. There is a wonky card in waaaaaaaay too many fights.

I think that boxing gets a bad wrap with bad decisions cuz I don't believe thats as big of a thing as fans act like it is. The right guy wins 99% of the time.

The scores that guys win by don't make sense don't make sense for at least one fight on probably 99% of cards we watch or that just happen at club shows or off TV.

So basically idk that 3 instances of this with Matchroom shows there is a Matchroom problem so much as they is & has been a judging problem.

Yeah I guess it just seems worse because all 3 of these fights have been in the last 2 weeks.

I don’t watch those lame U.K. domestic cards on DAZN so idk if it’s a Matchroom thing.

You might be onto something, but I'd have to see something really consistent to think it's more than coincidence. The examples you gave aren't bad.

This, they're assets in a time of heavy promotional wars.

We see it a lot with certain PBC fighters when they lose too, especially with the ones you know Al wants to protect their commercial value.

You are right. I expected the judges to be generous to Canelo but instead they were generous to Jacobs. I scored it 9 rounds to 3 for Canelo. Since even rounds are no longer allowed maybe 8 rounds for Canelo and 4 rounds for Jacobs if you give Jacobs another close round but I didn't.
