I dont know how his technique is nowadays, but I said wqtching him on the bag before, when he would throw left hooks he wasnt turning his front foot, and that can cause knee problems later on.

mandatories go by org dib rotations, and usually when there's a new champ the very least first bouts are separate voluntary defenses. It gets complicated too because unification bouts delay them. then of course a new champ has the right to provide step asides. basically each new champion is a reset

Canelo should fight a couple of cans first, then fight Smith and Kovalev after that, if he wants. No competition at middleweight.

Al Haymon knew Heilland had a knee problem. Instead of them cancelling the fight or getting a replacement, cause Haymon knew it'd give Charlo an easy stoppage, they paid HEILLAND to not even wear the knee brace to not stir controversy.

Look at the imprint from extended use of the brace on Heilland's leg. At least Heilland got paid extra to play the role and take a dive, with Charlo knowing to go easy and get him out of there.
