I tried looking up the purse split for this fight. Do you have a link???

When a guy even worries about not being able to go back to his regular job,
then you can conclude he's not being paid much in this fight.
Let's say he gets $50K-80K Canadian for his yearly income,
Would he still be worried if he gets at least $500K in this fight?
I don't know, considering training expenses, accommodation, US taxes, etc., he might only get a third of that amount.

Taxes on a lump sum pay out of 500k in Ontario is over 250k. He should get a chunk back at tax time. Promotor 20 to 25 percent. Trainer 10 percent. Manager 10 percent. Those percentages are most likely from the gross amount so they will probably be tax deductible. Not sure. Sparring partners hotels etc. etc. Fighters on the way up make peanuts for what they do. I'd be worried about losing my job also. I wonder if DAZN has to pay him also. I hope so.

Rolls is a poor choice there is no way around that. Loeffler claims DAZN picked him because they want to increase subscriptions in Canada. DAZN confirmed that Golovkin would be facing an easy opponent for his first fight but this is bad. Fielding isn't any better. He was clueless on how to use his size against Canelo.

Yeah top 20 so what? You know yourself that a ranking in the top 20 can be meaningless unless he's in the top 5 or 6 fighters. Anyway alI can go by what I saw in the ring and Fielding did not use any ring craft.

He's not that good because he got KOed early by Canelo with body shots. KOed previously by Smith in one round with body shots. China Chin Khan a Welterweight lasted longer than Fielding. You can't deny that Fielding was a shrewd cherry pick by team Canelo.
