Where does Mikey Garcia go from here.

Can't really hold the Spence fight against him. Too small. He tried and reality set in.

But what do you think he should go from here? Give it a go at 147 again?

I think 140 is the way to go unless Uncle Bob offered a peace offering of millions to fight Crawford .It would be fun to see if Bud could take him out.Never happen but what the hell.

There really isn't anyone at 140 for him at the current moment. I think he stays at 147. So he needs to take on someone like Berto/Alexander or someone on that level next, and then hop right back with the top WWs. I think if offered, he would take the DSG fight right now, but kind of hard to see that happening after how badly he was dominated against Spence.

Hopefully, he ends his career at 140. If he happens to fight another WW, he needs to go the JMM route and fight smaller WWs with a pulse and call it a day.

Two back to back ****** fights for Garcia. Way to put cement over his grave. It’s like Brook fighting Canelo after he fought GGG LMAO

Mikey will prob NOT go back to 140lbs because his stablemate Jose Ramirez is the WBC champ. 147lbs is where the money is + another (weightclass) potential championship for Garcia.

Loma fight is losing steam fast + Arum problems .
Best bet would be to see what happens between Pac/Thurman & challenge the winner.

Chubby Mikey hasn’t climbed the scales properly. Look at his body. I support him but skills could only get you as far in this sport when you don’t have the physique to compete. It’s not like most top welters are at a deficit in skills either, Mikey just don’t have the speed to compete as the smaller guy against the bigger ones. He’s flatfooted, doesn’t overwhelm them with punches. If he fights margarito from 10 yrs ago at welter he’d be beaten like a drum with a thousand punches. Hatton would wrestle him too and would not have the speed to get away from him. If you’re the smaller guy usually you are the faster one and one who’s difficult to hit. Mikey is neither.

Back to topic. Best choice for him is to return to 135lbs. He should be discipline enough to make that weight again. Fight loma and redeem himself from the humilliation he’s set himself into. I remember pac fighting an old oscar where he was still the underdog and they never said anything but just to fight hard in every round. Mikey talked a lot like Spence won’t win around or was getting ktfo only for him to get battered.

Hopefully lesson learned and lessen that arrogance.

Go back to 135 and climbed that weight properly

140 lbs is where he belongs physically, but there aren't a ton of big money fights there.

you can hear it in his voice, he watnst o get back to 147 and make money before he retires. they don't box for any other reason. some of you are really, really resistant to that notion. he's going back to 147 lbs for the money.

If he wants to regain his confidence then he should call out Austin Trout since 'No Doubt' is a pillow puncher or go after Tank Davis & make more money
