Canelo should stay at Middleweight and clean out the division

He'd get a clean win in a 3rd Golovkin fight. Andrade, Charlo and Saunders are all good fights yet and they're all winnable.

With his current resume that would be an ATG accomplishment....

He's not gotten a clean W over GGG yet idk why so many people suggest its a given the third time so much that a third fight is redundant.

If you don't wanna see it a 3rd time I can at least understand that even if I disagree with it, but this "Canelo for sure beats GGG easier a 3rd time" stuff isn't based on any reasonable take or evidence of what we've seen in the first too fights. Very lil separate these two from each other & there is a solid argument the thing most separates them in how the judges view what Canelo does more favorable than what GGG does.

But yea I'd rather see Canelo run through the more proven & viable opposition at 160 then fight guys is a less attractive 168lb division vs largely young unproven names.

And f#ck ATG bs. Its fantasy bs. All Canelo can be is among the best of his era. And I'd argue he's already among the best of his era. With GGG's closeness with Canelo I'd even argue he's among the best of this era too even if his resume is less impressive than Canelo's.

Certainly don’t rate him moving up to the weak super middleweight division. There is plenty of strong competition at middleweight and he’s only arrived.
No need to fly up weight divisions, because although on the surface it looks and sounds great. Once you peel back the opponent choice you realise it’s more of an accomplishment to unify tougher divisions then cherry pick weak champions in soft divisions (even if it is 8lbs north)

How do you know he would get a clean win in a third fight with GGG? Canelo easily beat Jacobs but his stamina was terrible. I think GGG beats him bad enough in a third fight to get the win in Vegas. Oscar is plenty worried a bout a third fight with GGG and team Canelo is too. GGG wanted to fight him last night but they fought Jacobs instead. Now they want to unify 160 or 168 or fight Kovalev. Anything and everything but fight GGG. When by far the biggest money fight is the very last fight they want what does that say? Maybe when GGG is 38 they will get their nerve up.

I don't think moving up to SMW is a good idea either, let alone LHW

the top guys at SMW might be less skilled than the top MWs, but they all dwarf ginger

Canelo shouldn't challenge Callum Smith, dude is huge even for SMW standards.

Canelo looked like a circus midget against Fielding and Callum is quite bigger and way more dangerous in every dept

ginger would need to channel Mike Tyson in order to beat those much bigger 'n stronger guys, his toney-like defense alone won't cut it

he'd need devastating KO power in order to prevent them from walking him down, and he'd need a superb gas tank to keep avoiding punishment the entire fight. Canelo has neither,

He should stay at MW and clean out the division if he can. He doesn't have the size to go much further

Mixed feelings. There's enough to keep him active but.... 168 is a ghost town and it would be an easy multi-div run for him. If this was the Ward/Froch/Kessler era, he'd get murdered. But, right now he would smoke most of those jokers at 168.

Unlike GGG, Nelo can and will clean out multiple divisions.

Is he going to be paid more to fight GGG than say Munguia in September? You say it's the biggest money fight but it's really not
