GGG is better than Callum Smith and David Benavides and arguably hits harder than both no way Smith Benavides are in the same class as Canelo who took GGG's best shots and pounded that body like no else

Dare to be great, I love it. I’m sick of so called elite fighters using belts as an excuse to hang around a division fighting inferior competition. All in the name of waiting on “unification” fights. In Canelo’s case, there’s literally no difference between unifying belts at MW or SMW. Only difference is obviously it will be tougher at SMW because of the size disadvantages Canelo will be facing. And if he gets his ass kicked, so be it. Move back down to MW sand continue being the man there. Kinda wish the Lomachenckos, Crawfords, and Spences of the world had the same mentality. The only fighters that don’t have the option of moving up in search of bigger fights are heavyweights. Everyone else can chase big fights if they want to. That’s the problem, most don’t want to.

Sounds good however Canelo doesn't have a belt at 168 to unify with. He is a WBA 2nd tier belt holder at 168. Same as Manny Pacquiao at 147 and Lamont Peterson before him.

Nobody gives a SH#T about the WBO and it has the least Prestige of all the BELTS. WBO is just slightly better than the IBO

WBC, WBA and IBF in that Order, after that nobody gives a damn! So yeah it is not mandatory that he gets that Belt but he might as well do it
I don’t think any real fight fan should care about any belts. You shouldn’t need belts to tell you who’s good and who’s not. The Ring magazine belt was cool until DLH bought the magazine. Now it’s basically just another belt. In a vacuum, the lineal title is the closest thing we have to a pure title free of corruption. But with no way to enforce how and when it’s defended. And who it’s defended against. The title usually fizzles out and loses luster.

I agree with this! Fans make more of a big deal about Belts than the fighters do I think. If it was up to the fighters, I sure they would prefer NOT to pay those Sanctioning Fees as well.

Have to PAY to be a Champion is beyond ridiculous

After what Hayman pulled I suspect Charlo gets nothing and fights nobodies at 160.
