Was that a just for Groves thing or is that a thing doe would be my concern even if I thought more highly of Callum then I do?

And was that game raising doable cuz Groves was half outta boxing at the time & was coming off an injury is another question?

Or are we making too much of a Groves W to begin with since Groves' career motif has been to come up short in his big moments?

I don't think you could answer any of those questions with the best answer for Callum being a threat to Canelo with much confidence that didn't live & die on you having lotsa faith in your stance on Callum than the evidence of what we've seen thus far with him.

I thought Groves would old man him like he did to Eubank before they fought.

Oh yea don't get it twisted I did to. But I thought Groves injury could have impact on the outcome or in Groves shape or even his desire as that can always have on a fighter. And plus with Groves retirement we now know that was something in play as well & a guy with a foot half outta the sport is never as big of a threat as he was when he was firmly planted in boxing.

So I get it. Callum DID impress me too with his W over Groves, but now with some time from the W we can put the overall dynamics in play of that W & the overall body of work with Callum is always in discussion I'd argue. And those realities & those not so great W's previous to Groves makes me think he's in for a rude awakening vs a guy like Canelo.

Hopefully we'll get to see either way doe cuz if GGG vs Canelo III don't happen the Callum & Andrade fights might be the best, most reasonable & makeable fights for Canelo next.

They are sure to have a weight stipulation in place if they fight Smith.

Beyond that, Canelo's definitely one of the best fighters of this generation. Beating Smith who beat no one but an old Groves doesn't elevate his status for me.

His head and upper body movement and defense is top quality and he has loads of experience at the top level!

Just to think a guy at 5’8 could compete with super middleweight giants is mind boggling honestly!
                      Winner! Gangsta poster!
