Anything above 160 is SMW. However 164 is a catchweight. Historically 168 is the weight limit for 168 since it's the maximum weight limit for the division.

I know what you are trying to do. However we are not going to hear it. It's a catchweight.

Was that why he didn't use his size advantage? Seemed like a tactical decision to me, & a bad one at that, more then he was forced into doing that.

The issue with moving to 168 is there isn't nothing there. All the money fights are at 160. Or at least if Canelo is there they are & I suspect this Canelo 168 stuff is a vanity project (even if he fights Callum next) more then he intends to stay at 168.

And now there isn't going to be much interest in a 168 Canelo vs Jacobs rematch since this fight wasn't as exciting as expected so who's the big fight. If Jacobs just wants to lift another belt in a division & get some more decent paydays vs okay to solid opponents fair play doe I guess.

There would be if he went back to the PBC! On DAZN, there's not much! I think Danny might just cash out with Callum Smith, but I don't know if it would be a big fight in the UK? IDK if it would do well in NYC? Jacobs might as well go to Canada for Lemieux, and go from there!

You made another good point! Maybe the weight is not the problem, but the strategy? Danny looks so average vs. GGG and Canelo! Where was all that energy from the weigh-in? At this point, who would you favor @ 160, Jacobs or Charlo?

... Jacobs is a bone cancer survivor... he overachieved already...

... now he may seek big fights at 168, but it's too late for top performances...

Is Callum a cash out fight for Danny? Hell I think Danny beats Callum too. Jacobs & Lemieux seems like a fun fight doe.

I don't think there are BIG fights doe. I mean GGG & Canelo are among the biggest names in the game. There isn't anyone even in that discussion of big name at 168. I think Jacobs might be the BIG name at 168 if he moves there lol.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he looks average vs GGG or Canelo, but he for sure doesn't shine as often vs those tip top guys as he does vs the lesser guys. I mean last night specifically he was taken out of the fight numerous times by Canelo. Thats not a good look. I'm surprised the scoring was so close. I think there was a legit reverse Canelo lean on this fight due to the consensus that there is a Canelo lean with judges specifically in Vegas.

I like Mall over Jacobs. I think he gots a much better ring IQ than Jacobs. The main question I'd have with Charlo in a possible fight with Jacobs is whats up with Mall's chin? I don't think he's been fully chin checked yet & while thats less of a concern at MW than at HW or bigger divisions its something that could lose him the fight vs Jacobs. Cuz while Jacobs gots limitations vs the tip top guys I think you need a chin &/or some D skills to come out on top with Jacobs. What about you?

I think Mall might be the best bet to beat Canelo at 160 now, but with the huge jump up in class that fight would be & the unique problems Canelo brings to ANYONE I by no means would favor or expect Mall to win.

I don't know if you would consider these BIG fights, but I would love to see Jacobs vs: David Benavidez and Chris Eubank Jr.! I think Benavidez is a star in the making! I think Jermall would beat him, but maybe b/c of the dislike, Jacobs would be more aggressive? At this point, that fight doesn't have any luster, b/c Jacobs' performances vs. GGG & Canelo! I think Jermall should sign with DAZN ASAP!

Oh yea that'd be fun don't get me wrong (well idk about Eubank Jr, but for sure Benavidez, I agree he's a star in the making & it probably sounds crazy but I think he's a future HOFer unless he goes off the rails), but idk if they'd be big. I mean we had 10,000 people at the weigh in the other day. And they both took him $45M combined iirc.

Idk that Jacobs would be more aggressive or not. You'd have thought with all that was up for grabs last night he'd be more aggressive. But maybe personal sh^t gets him more amped up.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Mall does sign with DAZN sometime this year. There doesn't seem to be enough big fights for him with PBC at 160. Its either sign with DAZN or try to get a mando with Canelo & ideally for him win the belts & take them back to PBC & make people come to him from there or pay to make him leave.

Maybe Canelo does hit hard and that's why Jacob's fought cautiously the same way Triple g fought cautiously in the rematch,..... Think about it....

If Jermall beats Adams, and the WBC does not make him Canelo's mandatory, then he needs to sign with DAZN immediately, maybe even sign with MatchRoom! Jose Sulaiman...MAN UP!
