He did a fair amount of it in the first fight & I think he made a mistake that cost him the fight by not doing it in the 2nd fight.
Regardless I think thats how the next guy who'll beat Canelo will do it. I don't see many guys with a higher ring IQ than Canelo. Its damn sure not Andrade or Callum I know that so his next fight is a locked in W more or less.
Yea I'm definitely with you here. I don't get that sh^t at all. I think Atlas is a bit dramatic at times to say the least, but I like that style of trainer/fighter interaction. I like a trainer saying whats what. Where are we at in this fight? And the fighter responding in the ring after the trainer lets him know whats what. I don't get at all these corners that act like the fight isn't being scored & the fight isn't being won or lost as they speak. Sh^t is INSANE to me. I don't know if Rozier was fully disinterested in the corner, but I don't believe he was urgent to Danny in telling him he was losing & obviously Danny wasn't acting like the fight was being lost in the ring. Fair play on being content in a non-competitive fight where you are clearly winning, but the rounds you could give to Jacobs were competitive rounds still.Jacobs, just didn’t show any sense of urgency in the fight. Why do underdogs do that lol Started slow.. and was contented with it.Comment

Jacobs jab all night.... very similar to the slow proddy Margs;Idk about that, but he definitely didn't fight like Margarito & come forward all night. I think pushing the pace with Canelo is how you beat him these days & Jacobs mighta stood a very solid chance at winning the fight had he tried to push Canelo & bully him when possible last night.
Idk why the f#ck Jacobs came in 3.6lbs over & lost a million dollars for him to bounce around the ring at a distance most of the night. Seems like you'd wanna come in lighter if thats your strategy. If you come in heavier vs a smaller guy you'd think the strategy would be to be aggressive, lean on & just use general bully tactics.

Jacobs throwing the upper cut in slow mo all night missing like Margs;

Using his head to defend against punches like Margs;

Everyone jabs. Everyone, except Floyd, used their head to defend Canelo's punches.
Again the main component of Margarito was that Frankenstein-ish moving forward all night strategy. Jacobs didn't move forward very much last night. I think he'd have done better if he did. It'd have at least made the fight more competitive & up in the air than it felt like even if Jacobs got wacked out at some point.Comment
