How Pathetic is Rocky Fielding?

First off, props to Canelo for a very good performance in a competitive but clear win over Jacobs.

But seriously what the hell was that by Fielding? He made Canelo look like a prime Mike Tyson out there LOL. Canelo is a good puncher, but isn't a murderous puncher. Canelo against any top fighter hasn't really been close to getting a stoppage. Yet against Fielding he was dropping him with any punch he landed.

Blame Jacobs he was content missing badly taking no chances that would result in him getting KoD. These top fighters be fighting scared as phuk against Canelo content losing on scorecards taking little to no risks. If they did Canelo would counter and have more knockouts against top guys.

There is nothing to blame. Was a good performance by Canelo. This isn't about taking chances. Before Fielding could even take a chance he was on the floor lol. Nothing about Canelo shows he's a devastating puncher against top competition. Didn't come close to stopping Trout/Lara/Cotto/Mayweather/Jacobs/GGG. And that's no knock on him as most fighters against top competition stop getting stoppages. But Fielding was next level disgusting. Liam Smith stood strong for 8 or 9 rounds and Khan did what he could for 5 rounds, but Fielding who was the biggest opponent couldn't take ANY shots from Canelo? Like first body shot and he's on the ground? SMH.

To be fair, Liam Smith is much better than Rocky Fielding.

Rocky Fielding is a domestic level fighter that managed to win a version of a world title and ended up out of his depth. He's faced two good opponents, Callum Smith wiped him out in a round and Canelo stopped him early too.

Liam Smith isn't great, but he's probably on the lower end of the spectrum of world level. He went 9 rounds with Canelo and was game. He was also competitive with Munguia and may have done better if he didn't arrive in USA about 4 days before the fight because of messed up Visa issues.

Liam Smith would be competitive with anyone at world level, except the elite fighters.

Fielding would get blasted out by any world level fighter.

Smith still lasted a lot longer and took some big shots before getting stopped. Fielding on the other hand? The complete opposite.
