Comments Thread For: Jacobs "A Completely Different Fighter" From July 10 Loss

Fight night in Las Vegas carries a very different meaning for both Saul Canelo' Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs. The two will share a ring in Sin City on May 4, with their forthcoming middleweight title unification bout to stream live on sports streaming platform DAZN from the T-Mobile Arena, where Alvarez will headline for the fifth time since its doors opened in 2016.

What is funny to me is how Jacobs literally paid for an advantage in the fight in plain sight and he is getting praised. Yet no proof on a paid advantage (judges) for Canelo but plenty of clowns on here don't stop talking about him. Love exposing the clowns on here. It's all good though Jacobs did it for "the culture" right?

Fair point. I'm hyped for this fight though. Hate how late the main events start though. That part sucks

Thats a way to look at it I guess. IMO making the weight at the weighin is all that matters, which he did. The rehydration clause is a bogus power move by Canelo, I respect Danny for saying F--k it and paying the fine. The contract stated the penalty was a fine and no more

Just had to make it. I am pumped too, I got a close one here but a Canelo KD seals the deal by UD in another close one. It can go either way and I would love to see Jacobs succeed, with his back story who wouldn't?

Yep very true. Good take. I tend to agree on a Canelo UD or a late stoppage for him.

Danny hasn't looked good his last few fights, but if he does indeed fight to the level of his competition maybe he can put in a great performance here and take it.

I hope for no controversy....although that's a tough ask lol

What are you talking about, it was a contract clause, not a boxing rule.

Yeah and Canelo was man enough to stick to his signature, Jacobs went for the penalty for the advantage. It's about being a man of your word, clearly Jacobs is not. Stop making excuses. You know if Canelo did this you girls would be in an uproar. Bunch of jokes.

The word was "I agree to pay 250k for each pound I gain after the first weight in". See the difference from your narrative?

I'm not a girl, I'm not an Alvarez hater, I would not care.

GBP were expecting Jacobs to gain extra weight after the weight in and decided to earn on that. What are you crying about?
