Former world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin revealed on Saturday that Johnathon Banks is his new head trainer. Last week Golovkin parted ways with long-time trainer Abel Sanchez, with the acrimonious split apparently triggered by a dispute over money. Banks, a former cruiserweight and heavyweight contender, is best known for taking over the training duties of former unified heavyweight champion Wladmir Klitschko when Emanuel Steward passed away n 2012.
