  • Comments Thread For: Dillian Whyte: I Think The WBC is Protecting Deontay Wilder

Top rated heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte is convinced that the World Boxing Council is protecting their heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder. Whyte is preparing to return on July 20 against Oscar Rivas at the O2 in London. Whyte, ranked at number 1 by the WBC, has been unable to secure a title shot through the sanctioning body.

Just sue them and get it over with and stop crying. He won’t sue though because he doesn’t want the truth to come out. The eliminator was ordered and he pulled out. He pulled out the wbc eliminator and the ibf eliminator. Smh

This is a great example of fans (and fighters) falling for Hearn's propaganda.

Whyte has never fought a final eliminator. He's turned down multiple final eliminators from both the WBC and the IBF. This is why he's not a mandatory. It's very simple.

The WBC did nothing shady here. Stiverne vs Breazeale was a final eliminator. Ortiz failed a test, Stiverne moved to the main event and Breazeale faced the highest available contender. Whyte was offered the fight, but turned it down. Just one of many final eliminators he's turned down.

Yep they are, this is nothing new, they know he lost against fury and they know he'll lose worse to Anthony Joshua, that's why they wanna cash him out when that fight comes , for the mean time he has to continue fighting bums, other than fury and Ortiz he's fought tomato cans

He made sure he brought up the fact he has fought for wbc so many times but refuse to bring up the fact he turned down wbc elimination fights

I don't like Tyson myself but I got to say Dillian is a bit jealous, Tyson Fury is a acceptable contender ( despite what people think ) -- Deontay Wilder protected? NO WAY.

Its clear the WBC Guy is looking out for some cats more than others so fair play to Whyte in saying this. Fighters & promoters & people with some power in the sport NEED to be saying whats what.

And I mean cmon its kinda obvious Whyte got buttf#cked to anyone paying attention. Breazeale earns his mando with a fight with Eric Molina who'd done f#ck all since losing to Joshua. Meanwhile Whyte has the best non-champ claim resume in the game at HW & he gets Ortiz the HW boogieman no one loves the idea of fighting.

And sh^t man this stuff happens all the time in bigger & smaller ways. These ABC Groups are corrupt &/or incompetent. And everyone knows it but the people who can change things or shine light accept the way things are cuz going against how the sport is ran is still a big ask of any one fighter or person with power in the sport. But the more people who speak out on small lil bs like Whyte is is moving us to a straw that breaks the camels back situation. Or at least it leads these ABC Groups to more accountability as I actually believe is happening now cuz while I believe these groups are corrupt its hard to argue that they haven't tightened up on the level of corruption they used to be on. So things are moving in the right direction even if things are still unacceptable & a problem overall.

WBC and Sulaiman will always do everyting to protect PBC and Golden Boy fighters, specially the big names. This is definitely corruptin. Adonis Stevenson didnt have to fight his mandatory in over 5 years. Wilder doesnt have to face Whyte who is #1 at the WBC for a very long time but instead faces another inhouse dude and will continue to do so, brainwashing these low IQ US fans.
