Exactly. More then half of the countries they are in have only launched within the last year. The entire company hasn't even been around 3 years yet! This many subscribers, this many countries, constantly expanding. they are growing at an exponential rate. Faster then Netflix did at their 2-3 year mark. DAZN basically had a soft launch in 2016 in just 2 countries had immediate success the first year so began expanding and doubled their markets after 1 year. In the last year alone through the months have launched in 5 more countries. Basically every year they have doubled the countries they are in. lol

I was taking the avg 400k per the 10 countries they are in & putting it in US revenue based on $100/yr to $240/yr at $20/mo based on their current price options offered. Than I compared it to what I know of the US deal with Canelo.

Like I said it does get more complicated when you consider that Canelo/GBP isn't a US product alone so the $365M expense isn't just taking in money on DAZN's side from US revenue. Its taking in revenue from other countries too. Only DAZN knows for sure how much any particular thing they put on is realllllly bringing in based on how much people are paying to watch worldwide for that content vs what they payed.

Yeah, I see what you did. Even then $40M to $96M a month in the U.S. doesn’t seem bad. It’s not like Canelo fights every month. He’ll fight 3 times a year max. $110M takes care of Canelo’s salary for the year.

DAZN hasn’t even been around a year in the U.S. so I see no reason for alarm yet.

They are doing terribly and rightfully so. This is their first blockbuster fight in a year but this fight is also happening a lot faster as a result so it’s all good.

I’m a subscriber and glad to be because renewing my subscription was just 9.99 but they have a ways to go before they truly are dominant.

With their roster super fights are difficult outside of MW so we’ll see how everything unfolds.

Why would I, as an American, want to see American fighters getting less exposure than the last Easter/Bartholmey fight?

Can someone please explain to me why American fighters getting minimal exposure is good for American boxing? Especially when we have outlets currently that can give them 20x's the exposure they'll get on DAZN?

I said American fans should be willing it to succeed, as in grow and improve, which would mean more people being exposed to the fighters in future. That way, you would end up with a great service for a great price.

Of course it's not going to be a quick success, but if they get where they hope, then it's going to be a great product for a very good price.

I can't see why so many people would be willing it to fail.

I bet all those wanting to see it fail were the ones saying that no fighters will want to go to DAZN. Even thought they now have 2 of the biggest fighters in world boxing fighting there in the next 4 weeks.

You lie all this networks charged PPV of almost 100 bucks this year alone for fights no where near as good as canelo/Jacobs. And even outside of PPV they charge more.

ESPN or FS1 require a cable/satellite bundle subscription about 40-50 bucks a month. You have to pay ESPN+ 4.99 on top of that since half the card either starts or ends bon ESPN or ESPN+. Then for big fights you pay almost 100 bucks PPV. DAZN charges 99 a year that's it. No extra charge or PPV all fights and undercard included

And anybody who thinks this is going to stay at $20 a month is a god damn fool. They already admitted they raised the price because they couldn't retain subs from Canelo's last fight. So what you think they're going to do come September before he fights again.

Then y'all will be saying "$40 bucks a month is a deal. You usually pay $80 for a PPV."

Remember these same people told you $10 a month for boxing was a great deal just q couple of months ago. Now they're telling us $20 a month is a great deal.
