The offered $50M to Joshua when Joshua said $50M would be nice iirc. Then Eddie started saying crazy sh^t like they didn't have $50M to give Joshua. Which come the f#ck on this is THE fight to make at HW. You can find money for the fight. Its there.

Regardless of who's offering what Team Wilder doesn't feel like the price is right just yet apparently & with the offer having gone from $15M for 1 fight to a $120M for 4 fight deal ($30M a fight avg) or a 100% increase in Wilder's value in mere months & when he lost a fight in my estimation, although it was officially ruled a draw, that suggests Wilder did get lowballed initially (as crazy as that might sound to say outloud to some). And I suspect if anyone knows the true value of this fight its Haymon cuz he played the game perfectly with Floyd.

If Wilder can keep winning like Floyd did is a whole other thing, but personally I don't think the money dries up like that even if Wilder loses. Wilder has made himself a name now. And his punch is gonna be there even if he loses in the future. So while I don't doubt they lose money if Wilder loses (hell they lose money if Joshua loses) its probably not as much as people think. Its a gamble no doubt, but this is a high wire act sport where risk of losing value or ability to increase your value can be changed in one night to some degree.

I mean look at Buster Douglas. He was a also ran HW contender. He got the callup to Tyson. He made $1.3M. He beat Tyson. He earned $24M vs Holyfield. Sh^t can change on a f#cking dime in boxing if you win the right fight. And its not like the money dried up for Tyson. Tyson would sign a $120M multifight deal with HBO later that year.

That's not true. Wilder was never sent an offer where the second fight would be 50/50 even if Wilder loses the first fight.

Second of all, even if the split is right, it doesn't matter if Hearn refuses to put the fight on PPV so the fighters can maximize their income.

I would rather it be on DAZN because it'd be cheaper to watch, but when assessing who is to blame for the fight not happening, you should blame the side refusing to let the fighters maximize their income.

So Finkel because Hearn has categorically said the highest bidder can have the fight, he just believes DAZN will be the highest bidder and so far has been proven true. If the fight is gonna be on Showtime it's got to come from Wilders side because Hearn has a partnership with DAZN and therefore it's ridiculous to expect him to go behind their back to create an offer with showtime to give to Wilder when Wilder already works with showtime.

Why is it always Hearn pushing for the unification and making the offers?

Apart from coming out in the media and saying '50/50 or no fight' how come Finkel or someone from Wilder's team actually send a formal offer or contract as a starting point?

DramaC just made an excellent point 2020 isn't that far away when you consider deontay fighting breezy and taking a little break before his next fight.by that time will be heading near 2020 fast
