The guy you were responding to was talking about John Ruiz, the former HW title holder that Roy Jones battered.

Of course he is American with a Mexican heritage, but if the man wants to call himself the first Mexican HW champion then that’s on him, for Hearn it’s obviously a nice promotional angle to get Mexican fans to back Ruiz... But are they talking about Mexicans in Mexico? Am sure they are referring to Mexican American just like Andy.

Anyways hope we get a good fight. That’s all...
How the hell can he become Mexico's First Heavyweight Champion...to be fair I understand what Eddie is trying to say though. He can become the First Mexican American World Heavyweight Champion which would still be history.
I think you complete misunderstood my original Post "Mexico's First Heavyweight Champion" is what was said and that is completely WRONG. To be "Mexico's First Heavyweight.." he would have to be Born in Mexico.

He can become the first "Mexican Heavyweight Champion" is what I think Eddie was trying to say but whatever, good lucky to Andy Ruiz
