That’s not what you were trying to say here. You were basically questioning Hearn “First Mexican” thing, when the boxer himself said it in interviews three months before he fought Dimitrenko after he signed with PBC.
Of course he is American with a Mexican heritage, but if the man wants to call himself the first Mexican HW champion then that’s on him, for Hearn it’s obviously a nice promotional angle to get Mexican fans to back Ruiz... But are they talking about Mexicans in Mexico? Am sure they are referring to Mexican American just like Andy.
Anyways hope we get a good fight. That’s all...How the hell can he become Mexico's First Heavyweight Champion...to be fair I understand what Eddie is trying to say though. He can become the First Mexican American World Heavyweight Champion which would still be history.
