    Daniel Roman: The Throwback

I have no clue why the Daniel Roman unification war against TJ Doheny is getting no attention. Not only is the guy a warrior but he is humble and is going after everyone. Throw in Daniel with either of the other 2 champions and you got a guarantee for action.

The ebb and flow of his brawl with TJ Doheny was awe inspiring at times. Props to TJ for putting it all on the line but the punishment to the body Roman was dishing out was plain out nasty. You could just feel the pain from how Doheny was reacting.

I honestly can't wait for Daniel's next fight.

Thoughts on this classy warrior? Contender for fight of the year so far?

    War Roman!

The cherry on top is the mutual respect these men had for eachother. They beat the snot out of each other for 12 and then they still had the decency to congratulate one another. I'm just in shock at how tame the reaction has been.

You're not the only one man. Perhaps it's the shadow of the performance our man Estrada put on which deviated people's attentions away - you don't put on a masterclass against a top 5 pound for pound fighter in Rungvisai like that and NOT get the respect and recognition he deserves.

But I agree. It's like Roman V Doheny was forgotten a couple of hours after. Perhaps if it was on SHOWTIME or better, HBO it would have gotten more recognition. Those platforms know how to market FOTY candidates

For those who ain't seen it or wouldn't mind seeing it again:

I hadn't even heard of Daniel 18 months ago, but the kid has impressed a great deal in that time and has quickly become one of my faves at the lower weights.

That and the Chucky Flores fight were great.

I'd LOVE to see him fight Figueroa or Navarette next!
