American boxing commissions are a joke.

People shit on BBBC and UKAD but American boxing commissions are 10x worse.

They have no random drug testing at all and having individual commissions means Miller gets off free after failing 3 drugs tests.

The WBA can merely exclude him from their rankings and prevent him from competing for their titles, which they will do until September 19.

Miller, who tested positive for GW1516, HGH and EPO, cannot receive a proper ban due to a bizarre loophole in the US system.

Following his failed tests, the New York State Athletic Commission refused to licence him for the Joshua bout and so he was pulled from the event.

However, last week promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that the American’s licence with New York had in fact expired, meaning that they do not have the jurisdiction to punish him.

Due to the fact that American boxing works on a State-by-State basis – rather than with one centralised commission like in the UK – he effectively does not have to answer to anyone for his offences and has therefore escaped without a fixed ban.

Don't ever talk shit about UK boxing again. American boxing is dirty as fuck.

Can Tyson Fury and cousin Hughie leave the UK and come here and dope instead? It seems easier to let your license expire instead of threatening to bankrupt UKAD.

I'm beginning to suspect that the Gypsy handed in his BBBofC boxing license like fat-baby, thereby eliminating any legal jurisdiction that the UK boxing commission may exercise in the event of a failed PED test.

This Toprank agreement is starting to make sense.

As long as Tyson Fury is licensed by the BBBoC he can be tested regardless of location. Even if he is training in the USA. If he lets his license expire then of course, he would only be subject to the rules of wherever else he obtains a license.

You know Tyson Fury may get in trouble with one of the American athletic commissions ; like his hero rapist Mike Tyson did in Nevada when 'Bite' Tyson bit Lennox Lewis thigh during a brawl at one of their press conferences.

Shelly Finkle was Mike Tyson's advisor then, and got Mike a license in the state of Tennessee....well I guess for boxing fans ( in this instance ) the loopholes in American athletic commissions served a good purpose -- the rapist was handed a beating he will never forget, and neither shall we.

Now if this had taken place in the UK, we perhaps would of never got to see Tyson vs. Lewis -- then again UKAD does not even disclose that you are a cheat, and apparently they do not cancel fights despite having knowledge of the fact that one of their own boxers tested positive for drugs, so who knows

But we are talking about drugs, so I digressed there a bit.

UKAD are awful at publicizing test failures for sure. For example, Eric Molina has been banned in the UK for failing a drug test after the AJ fight. The biggest problem is the time it takes to get a hearing. For example, Molina gave the sample in December 2016, he was provisionally suspended in October 2017 (assuming this was when he was notified), and the final decision on ban length was given in May 2018.

It's strange how bans are local rather than global. For example, even if the NYSAC had been able to ban Miller, he could still technically fight elsewhere if given a license.
