Some people might call Kirkland chinny because of the way he went down against Ishida, but Canelo completely destroyed him with a sick display of power punching. Its not that Kirkland has no chin, but rather that he has no defense whatsoever and, because of that, he gets hit very cleanly (over and over). The same can be said about Khan (even though the consensus opinion is that he has a glass chin). I've seen Khan demonstrate a very solid beard against top level guys, but he gets loose with his defense (or overly aggressive on offense), gets tagged clean and gets KTFO'd. Tell me the names of the fighters who you're sure would have gotten up from the shot that KO'd Canelo's so-called chinny opponents? If a world-class fighter lands clean haymakers on his opponent, they are most likely going down and staying down. Canelo has fought more elite current or former world champions than any other active guy in the sport. He's only KO'd a handful of them, but that's because elite fighters don't typically get hit with the kind of clean punches that produce the 1-punch KOs that you hold up as the one and only criterion to evaluate punching power.
The fact is the same guys Canelo stopped have been stopped before, in a round, at a much lower level.Youve pretty much made my point about Kirkland and Fielding. Khan doesnt have a solid chin, hes been wobbled at a much lower level, even as a fit up and comer against guys like Gomez, who were totally finished. He was knocked out in a round by an unknown who remained unknown, this was at lightweight. Now these are Canelos stoppages. Its not a coincidence that everyone else went the distance, including men who had been knocked down and stopped at lower weights.Canelo doesnt stop guys hes own size, and in general doesnt knock them down, unless theyve been previously fragile. Canelos just not a dangerous one punch power guy, and thats based on hes record and actual facts, the bottom line results of hes fights.Just because you dont like something doesnt make it irrelevant, your just trying to give him attributes he doesnt have. Its not just one punch knockouts, its stoppages or knockdowns, even over older welterweights. It's just the way it is. No reason to think he suddenly becomes super dangerous at middle, where hes not knocked down or wobbled anyone either.

You keep going on in the same circle talking about the same three Canelo KO victims to support your b.s. argument. He's knocked out 35 opponents and several had not been KO'd before (you kept skipping over L. Smith btw). At any rate, we're clearly not going to agree on this. The only fighter that you think is a solid puncher is the guy who KO'd all of his opponents with 1-punch KO's, so that means there are no real punchers in the game because that **** only happens in video games. Canelo is acknowledged by informed fans (and more importantly by his opponents) as a solid puncher. You, meanwhile, are the only fan on earth who rates Canelo and Mayweather in the same category of puncher.

Not at all, youre the only fan on earth who ive ever heard say Khan has a solid chin.A guy who was wobbled by Willie Limond lol. Ive always stated Canelo is a respectable puncher, who people cant walk through. Its when Oscar describes him as a devastating puncher i take issue. I also stated that its not just one punch power, which he clearly lacks. He rarely scores knockdowns, and even against smaller older men, doesnt win inside the distance. Contrast this with claims that he will "destroy" solid chinned fighters like Golovkin and Chavez, or that guys like Jacobs are in danger from one false move of being flattened. You really need to read what i write properly. You state the facts dont matter and are "irrelevant", while making excuses trying to give attributes to fighters they dont have (Canelos power and Khans chin) to fit your narrative. Oh, btw, the reason i left out Liam Smith is despite holding the WBO title theres was not one world level fighter on hes record. And since Canelo that hasnt changed. Hes domestic level, and not even the top guy there. As for Mayweather, he's a guy who nobody ever walked through, could gain respect with hes punches, and rarely scored a stoppage as a Welter. That's the comparison i was making. It was Shane Mosley who actually said their power was in fact similar. But what does he know, hes "irrelevant" i expect lol.
