Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Doesn't Expect Canelo To Knock Out Daniel Jacobs

LAS VEGAS Oscar De La Hoya's confidence in Canelo Alvarez often has prompted him to predict knockouts before the Mexican superstar's fights. De La Hoya's respect for Daniel Jacobs' will prevented him from doing that Tuesday. Alvarez's promoter believes it's more likely that Alvarez will beat Jacobs on points when they fight Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

I wouldn't be surprised is someone gets knocked out in this fight.

          I agree 100% bro...

I'm personally rooting for Jacobs... but damn, Canelo just keeps getting better and better. I'd hate to see Jacobs lose by KO but I have a big feeling it's going to happen.

I can definitely see Canelo stopping Jacobs to the body. I think he's the better fighter.

But Oscar is right. He doesn't NEED to stop Jacobs. The judges are always there to back him up, no matter what.

I don’t see a ko either but if any one of the two gets knocked out, it’ll be Jacobs based on their history.

Miracle Man can win this. He has enough skills. But it is a 60-40 fight in Alvarez favor. Jacobs will be up for this, but it is hard not to compare the last few fights for both men and not feel they are heading in different directions. Alvarez is just fighting so good.

Jacobs hasn't looked spectacular as of late but he has the tools to beat Canelo. It's going to be tough because Canelo took Golovkin power shots and his confidence has to be very high. Jacobs has to put it all together just to get a draw. Not going to happen.
