Sh#t in the NFL, having size is half the battle unless you’re a kicker or punter.

If he got the size, and his fathers work ethic, he’ll be fine.

Elijah is a game runner, when they on your ass your speed comes out, is powerful and durable, he would make a good second back to come in when Christian Mcaffrey needs rest. He would be good for 5 yards or some breakaways for more.

this is true...there are tons of guys that have passed through the nfl who could run in a straight line while in spandex on a combine surface....but didnt have the vision, patience, and ability to make it translate to gameday in the nfl

same with qbs...guys talk about "arm strength" and "arm talent"....the nfl has seen tons of guys come through with huge arms...."kyle boller can throw the ball 70 yards from his knees"....but he couldnt read a defense pre snap...or after the snap...call out protections and command an offense....

im far from a giants fan...but i do have to laugh at everyone heckling gettelman in ny for daniel jones..."he doesnt have a good arm" and all this and that......he has an arm good enough to make all the nfl throws hes going to need to make....what he already does have in expertise in call out pro protection which alot of guys dont have because they dont run pro styles offenses and their coaches arent as adept at it as his was (cutcliffe)...jones also played with subpar talent overall and had to make many contested throws.....some guys like haskins(not knocking him he might do well) were throwing to wide open guys simply because his guys were better athletes than most teams they were playing...and his team outschemed them as well....

straightline speed numbers mean very little .....im more interested in a guys agility drills and what kind of vision, balance and patience they display as a runner

            Good post curt

Also remember Antonio Brown got drafted in the 6 round by the steelers and scouts said he was only the 40th best reciever in the draft. He almost didnt get drafted and then he became top 3 best recivers in the NFL.

Holyfield is a gamer. He is very strong and punishes tacklers. He probably should have went back to UGA one more year, but oh well. He is a tough dude. His career wont last that long with his style of play. He will give the panthers a good power back for short yardage.

Surprised he wasn't a little faster. maybe he had an injury or tweak. But I watched him play this year and he is a rugged back. If he has his dad's work ethic and commitment, and I don't have reason to doubt that, he should be able to contribute o an NFL team.
