Why do old boxers who's best days are far behind them decide to make a comeback, ESPECIALLY in the heavyweight division?

Lower divisions are one thing, but devastating bombs are being thrown in the heavy's. One wrong punch can hurt you permanently.

    Stay retired.

BECAUSE it’s the HW division that fighters are able to compete till advanced age and even make comebacks.

HW fighters generally have the longest life span inside the ring.

On top of that, HW division is so weak and shtty that a great fighter like Wlad can comeback at this stage and beat most of them.

He can come back and beat most, but can't beat the top fighters like Fury or AJ. He couldn't 3/4 years ago when he was younger and active. Now he's older and inactive. He was already slipping. He isn't going to come back better than he was and the guys that beat him are still around and maybe better and more experienced than they were when they beat him first time.

So when you weigh it all up. Why would someone who has a great legacy and already very rich come back just to be the 3rd of 4th best in the division and even that might be optimistic.

Obviously $100m is a LOT of money, and he did have a divorce recently. Also he is a competitive man. So i can see the appeal. I just don't see it ending well on the boxing side of things.

Poor Al Haymon, now hes got another fighter who will sniff after his paper champion so will now have to think of some more excuses. Shall we call some lowball offers???? May as well say it now we all know the accusations are coming. Although unlike with the Ortiz situation maybe you PBC junkies can actually wait to hear what some offers are before screaming lowball and looking all ****** again.
