USA and similar chattel slavery was much more strenuous, racist, degrading..than any other form of slaver practiced on the planet. Other cultures and ancient civilizations at least had basic rights and treated ****** with dignity, you just couldn't beat the hell out of a slave. Not to mention, ****** typically were captured by people close by, so for the most part the people conquering them would have a similar culture to them. In a lot of societies ****** could rise through the ranks. In west Africa ****** could rise and actually marry into the family and had rights, it was more like light indentured servitude(Still slavery). It's also by far the most known story of slavery because it was by far the biggest slave trade in history, it also lasted a significant amount of time compared to other slavery.
Sorry friend but your post is total BS.

You are making a generalization about ALL ****** and their experiences throughout history and using the lens of 'systemic racism' to weaponize the African American experience. The African American experience of 'slavery' is now a political football and has lost all credibility due to extremely bias and inaccurate slant used by race hustlers to further their agenda on things like reparations.

That makes it even less likely to be offensive, if he's talking about general world practice in boxing, how's that racist? He neither said nor implied anything discriminatory and neither did he refer to race in anyway.

It's pretty simple promotional contracts where like slave deals for ALL boxers (big name or not) and the promoters where the distributors of those contracts now boxers are the ones calling the shots on fight by fight deals.

You don't need to try so hard to be offended.

I've never met a group of people that wanted to be hated and scream racism so bad that they forget that the two key ingredients for racism (race and discrimination) were completely absent in Barry's comments.

Refreshing honesty, and hilarious 15-minute straight speech from the old geezer.

Unfortunately, guys like Haymon, Arum, King and Warren aren't following suit and are still tying their fighters to slave contracts and prevent them from maximizing revenue.

Reperations should of been paid long ago but the white supremist America decided to pay off the slave traders, that’s not even to mention the whole of Africa being carved up by Europe. If America are happy to pay Israel then the western world should do the same with Africa as opposed to raping it for its resources.
