Whyte's sitting there grinning like Stepin Fetchit when Hearn said that shit. He should have jack-slapped his racist ass.
Barry Hearn smiles: When I was running boxing we were slave traders

Stop being a clown. Barry hit all the stereotypes in that clip. It's easy to understand why someone would interpret that as a racist comment.
If you don't think it's racist then cool (i don't think it is either). But don't act like someone interpreting that as racist is off the markComment

Nah man I'm saying one more time that an old white mfer sitting next to a young black guy talking about slave trading is some out of touch moment that reminds me of some old racist grandpa moment at Thanksgiving dinner when the white daughters black bf comes over.
Can't say racial sh^t here without some of y'all basic mfers misunderstanding the f#ck outta it. Holy f#ck man lol.Comment

I interpret it that way wholly. The guy is a redneck, so is Eddie himself. I felt those vibes from him, too, like he owns everybody. Luckily, these days, fighters have more of a voice.Stop being a clown. Barry hit all the stereotypes in that clip. It's easy to understand why someone would interpret that as a racist comment.

Good post. His comments are demeaning. You have to add the racist bit yourself though since he's clearly talking about how they used to treat boxers. Also if you watch the full clip he starts off by talking about Dillian Whyte being on a fight by fight basis and how strange that is in comparison to when they had fighters on slave contracts. The missing context will help people create their own narrative I guess.Stop being a clown. Barry hit all the stereotypes in that clip.
