I wouldn't be quick to count Paulie out just yet. He must have seen something in Lobov during his short time in Conor's training camp back in 2017 that convinced him he could win. That doesn't mean he will, the bare knuckle fighting rules closely resemble boxing's rules, that is a plus for Paulie. The obvious problem for Paulie is his lack of punching power and brittle hands. He also relied heavily upon his reflexes during his prime, now that he is 38, he can no longer rely upon those reflexes.
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Rules:
The fights will take place in a 22-foot diameter circle ring, with three ropes. In the center of the ring is an 8-foot circle where the fighters will begin the fight and start every additional round. The format is punching only strikes allowed, no knees, elbows, or kicks. They will be allowed to clinch and “Dirty Boxing” if you will is also allowed. Fighters will be able to throw punches in the open clinch or in a Muay Thai style clinch that includes grabbing the back of the neck. Fights will be 5 rounds lasting 2 minutes each.Comment

Seriously stop it. A Shawn Porter with the flu and one arm is a more dangerous fight than lobov. The gap in boxing skill between paulie and this dude lobov is soooooo wide its ridiculous. This is basically going to be an ex champion boxer vs a bar room brawler, paulie is going to light this guy up like a pinball machine.Comment

You're talking a guy who has NO power, brittle hands, was inactive and got fat, fighting in bare knuckle fighting after years of inactivity. That favors Lobov. One punch and Paulie will react worse than Hamed against Kevin Kelley. We already saw what McGregor in pillows did to him. Lobov is much stronger.

But Who is lobov? what exactly has this guy done? Paulie fought cotto with a broken face if he breaks his hand i dont see him quitting. I still believe an out of shape soft handed paulie beats this guy. Hes a club MMA brawler broComment

In fights where it's about the money. Not in fights where you have two guys that just don't like each other.
And you got Paulie where he's got something to try to prove - that McGregor didn't give him that work in sparring. That's a prime recipe for him to get sloppy and make mistakes. That's not even considering the long layoff and the poor shape he was in for so long.Comment
