Soto's years past his best but you could still see some trace of the elite fighter he was. Vargas' youth and size were always gonna be too much for the former world class lightweight but at times Soto showed the difference between a great fighter and a good one.

Soto was a natural 130 fighters, he fought in other weights giving a lot of advantages in strenght and weight.

He needed more good rivals and matches in his run of 130-135.

Those were their ideal divisions for him

I went back and watched the Rocky Juarez fight, Soto was great that night.

Vargas is a decent fighter and he got the job done but he will never be as good as the young Soto and that's for sure in my opinion.
