Obviously they need Ortiz. If I was Ortiz manager I wouldn’t take nothing less than the 6.5M they were offering for Miller that’s just my opinion. Miller highest purse is only 500k like Ortiz so that rebuttal is irrelevant. Even though I think it’s ****** to replace a cheater with another cheater.

You have to ask why Eddie didn't try make this fight 6 months ago?

Miller is young, undefeated, American, a good trash talker, has fought better opposition than Ortiz in recent years and has been headlining shows.
Miller's last 5 wins - Gerald Washington, Mariusz Wach, Johann Duhaupas, Tomasz Adamek, Bogdan Dinu
Ortiz's last 5 wins - David Allen, Daniel Martz, Răzvan Cojanu, Travis Kauffman, Christian Hammer
Ortiz lost to Wilder, has been fighting bums on undercards since then and has done nothing to deserve a title shot.

I didn't mind the Miller fight considering Brizzy is fighting Wilder. Just kind of accepted it as sort of record padding as we wait for the meaningful ones.
Miller truly made this a difficult situation for everyone including potential replacements.
