Did Estrada prove again that a Boxer will defeat a Puncher?

Estrada Put on a Boxing Clinic last night no doubt about it.

Does this prove the old saying that a Boxer will defeat a Puncher? Also the old saying that boxers beat brawlers, who beat inside fighters who beat boxers.

It is the universal law. Boxers beat punchers 99% of the time lol...

Yeah, I give the edge to the boxer if the puncher is out there fighting in a different stance than normal which is part of what happened. Sor looked clueluess, Estrada beat him up for trying something so ******. really puzzling

Possibly, but cannot use last night as an example because SSR made things a lot worse for himself when he decided to fight orthodox for first two thirds of the fight...

Rungvisai spent how many rounds in an orthodox position when for a decade he was a southopaw. He had a garbage gameplan thinking he was terrence Crawford. When he switched back to Southpaw he was actually winning rounds but was way too late.

When Sor Rungvisai went Southpaw in the 2nd half of the fight, he won the 2nd half.

Why he fought in an Orthodox stance for the first 6 rounds, I have no idea.

It was either due to injury or bad gameplanning or both.

But I will say that Estrada looked excellent early on in the fight.

It didn't prove anything. Each fight is different and each fighter is different. At the championship level all boxers can punch some and all punchers can box some. No champion is just a puncher or just a boxer except Paulie who can't punch and isn't very good. Estrada can punch and that helped him win. Hard punchers KO good boxers all the time. Estrada lost the first fight so what does that prove?

You are taking these old sayings way to seriously. There is one that says you must dominate the champion to take his title which is BS. If you beat the champ by a single point you are the new champ.

26 of Estrada's 39 wins were KOs so he is an excellent puncher as well as a great boxer. If he couldn't punch he would have lost.
