Danny Garcia was the headline fighter for a fight that was aired in primetime on FOX in the US, featured on ITV in the UK, and sold most of the tickets at Dignity Health (from the looks/sound of it, there were maybe 6000+ in the 8500-seat venue), and you honestly believe that Danny Garcia only got $1m for the fight? lol

Say what you want about Spence's personality (or lack of personality if that's your view), Spence is getting the monster push and has been getting it since before he proved to merit it, tbh.

Every pro fight he's had being televised, the broadcast insinuations of Spence giving everyone (including Floyd) that work in the gym, the hesitance of everyone else to fight him and for that to be known, the feature after the gold medal basketball game, the co-sign of Jerry Jones, being figuratively adopted by New York and Dallas, the GQ feature, the soft piece profiles of him and his family, and now taking all that national/international effort to try and make Spence a superstar in Dallas.

All without having to play the coon, or the savage, or whatever other ridiculousness; Spence simply is himself, with the machine putting the best and brightest light on Spence's story.

I don't see how Spence or Crawford can claim anything because neither one of them haven't faced elite comp.

Elite comp is when u walk in the ring in a 50/50 fight which neither one of them ever did..

Actually this comment is dumb...The Redstone family owns CBS and David Nevins is an executive at Showtime.

They don't own any interest in Haymon Sports and Showtime has a smaller financial relationship with PBC than FOX. Actually FOX was going to get the whole deal, but Haymon decided to let Showtime get 30% -35% of their content.

Haymon is a content provider; as things currently stand, he's under obligation to basically deliver 150 shows to Showtime/Fox Sports over the course of the next 4 years, with the quality of the delivered content being such that the price for the next deal goes up higher.

Shonda Rimes did tons of business with ABC; ABC doesn't own any of Rimes' company.

Spence only has better PPV numbers because of Mikey. Let’s see how he does next go around. Funny to see Spence fans agreeing that Bud doesn’t deserve 50% based on comparable earnings, yet the felt Wilder deserves 50% against AJ. PBC fan boys.

The UK market has a cap of ~$45m in payouts on a fight; Wilder-Joshua has enough heat to clear $70m-$100m now, with the current potential cap on the US market being tenfold what is possible in the UK. So yes, Wilder getting damn near 50/50 in the US isnt some slight. Apples to oranges.

Both Spence and Crawford staged fights in the US, both fights were PPV, but Crawford's fight is tracking to have drawn maybe half of what Spence's event drew. Apples to apples.

They won’t come anywhere near Floyd/PAC numbers. And Manny and Floyd had already done their own million-plus PPVs prior, and the split was 60/40. Wilder is nowhere near AJ in terms of earning potential. AJ can continue fighting for $20M per fight against whoever, while Wilder will go back to his $2M paydays unless he can get a rematch wiht Fury.

Getting back to Crawford, he has been earning 3x what Spence earns, and this is a 50/50 fight. In terms of drawing power, skill and potential earnings. Spence is blowing smoke in order to avoid Crawford.

Errol Spence Jr gets a piece of everything for the fights where he's the feature fighter; US TV, live event, UK TV, etc. (For sure for the last 5 fights, but arguably for the last 7)

If you honestly think that Spence Jr is clearing a third of what Crawford is clearing, you're a fool.
