Promoter Jorge Carmenate (Dade) has told Jay Jimenez its a low ball without giving him figures, (hard to imagine though!?) then it seems Jay's jumped the gun, gone on a public rant about the "low ball" then (after hearing how much the offer was!?) has backtracked in his thaboxingvoice interview.
Even Caicedo Ortiz manager has come out and said Ortiz is in training and "An opportunity like this to make whatever Eddie is offering - $7-8 million – you grab it"

I'm sure Hearn knows all this too now. This still could be the fight on June 1st.

He says there he 'expects them to go into hiding' rather than they are in hiding; so basically he thinks that all this is them trying to save face and they still don't actually want the fight.

I do hope your right, I know Ruiz Jr is game but I think AJ bulldozes him easily in a couple of rounds

Luis Ortiz, although I don't rate as highly as some do on here, is a much better fight, especially with the south paw issues and 5 weeks notice for both fighters.

Also a great benchmark for Wilder. Ortiz would be a bigger draw because of this.

Eddie needs to get on the blower to Jimenez directly.
