Thoughts on Vargas

Vargas made a cool 3.4 million to Mosely's 3 million. Not bad pay for getting shagged in the 6th!

Keep in mind I have not watch either of the two Mosley/Vargas fights.

However, from what I have read here some of you thought that Vargas was staging a comeback in the first fight prior to the stoppage.

Some of you even thought he was winning on points.

You also thought he'd win the rematch and some of you seemed EXTREMELY sure of it.

So, since Vargas lost and from what I heard, he was soundly beaten.

What do you think happened?

Why was Vargas taken out so easily in this match as opposed to the first match?

Why wasn't he able to go the distance and win some rounds against Mosley?

What do you think of him as a fighter now and what do you think he should do next?

Vargas sucks and everyone here knew it.....

when he wasnt he jsut had some tough fights

now vargas got beat down in 2 big fights
been injured and never really been the same
now hes the shot fighter

mosley has always been the better fighter
he is much fresher and faster
just better period

In the third round realized choosing Vargas to win was a mistake. The fire, energy and power were gone.

Vargas should fight at whatever weight he is comfortable and take on some lesser level boxer to see if he still can win.

man i'm tired of people saying that shane and vargas lost it. especially vargas. i mean the guy is only like 28 he supposed to be in his prime now. even though he had injuries so what. he would've never beaten shane trust me. especially before. vargas is a pretty good fighter but he is no shane winky tito or dlh. who did vargas really beat before? winky who he should have lost to?

it's not who he beat before it's the way he used to fight. He was much better fighter before trinidad. He was quicker,put punches together,had more power & IMO had a better chin. I've always routed for Vargas and I'm very disapointed in the way he lost but he needs to retire & enjoy life after boxing before he really gets hurt.

he should take an extended break and get that back surgery done. He looked awful last night, so slow, no lateral movement, no pop on his punches, shane made him look like a 38 year old 28 year old. and get a new crew, he was nowhere close to ready for this fight.

shane looked great last night, i think vargas needs to stop boxing. i thought shane was going to get another tko but not until like round 8-11. the fact that this fight only went 6 says alot, i want to see shane fight mayweather more than i want to see oscar fight mayweather at this point.
