I agree with this 100%. Thing is there is a fine line between doing whats best for your product, the fighter, and your business, MP, & being overbearing & micromanaging a guy.

I'd actually think Floyd would understand this better than most since he had a similar situation with his promoter back in the day.

And the bad part of this is Floyd wasn't no street dude so him being disillusioned with his promoter & sidelined wasn't likely to lead to as many issues as Tank being disillusioned with his promoter & sidelined cuz he is a real street dude to some degree from most accounts.

Sidelining Tank woulda been comparable to sidelining Mike Tyson early in his career. And its no surprise when Tyson did start fighting less frequently & had more idle time thats when the wheels starting falling off.

Seems like you're suggesting that Mayweather fight him so often that he can't get out of shape or in trouble as opposed to not scheduling fights until he decides to act right.

I think he should be fighting more often then he is for sure. What the ceiling on activity is is up for debate.

But yea a young cat with the skills of Tank needs to be doing what he does best & thats boxing. Having him just hanging out for 8-10mos like his last couple fights is counterproductive to what the whole career trajectory blueprint should be for Floyd, MP & Tank. The blueprint should take precedence over where Tank wants to or doesn't want to live or any other random non-boxing oriented situation thats more about what Tank wants then what Floyd prefers for him.

It comes through when guys have the 'It factor', it doesn't have to be forced on people.

Mayweather and Ellerbe don't even et Davis speak.

Mayweather Promotions are making Gervonta look bad every time they talk about him.

He has the It factor but we won't match him up with the top fighters... That's not an It factor that is going to gain popularity.
