    wilder/ortiz 2 on ppv

it may not be the coolest thing....it may not do well

I would have loved to see Ortiz fight AJ...but I understand it

this is still a reactionary move from fury pulling out of the rematch

haymon is thinking to himself..."I have no idea when fury will want to fight us...I have no idea when hearn/AJ are going to come to us with a US ppv in vegas(the most money generated for everyone and most sensible way to handle this)...im going to need something in my pocket"

like I said...it may not be a great fight..might not sell well...but Ortiz would get a pretty good guarantee with some upside...hell likely take home what he would have with hearn(haymon may be overpaying in this case but hell have to).....they will run highlights of Ortiz having wilder in "trouble" while promoting it....

this probably would never be happening if arum didn't weasel his way in and block the wilder/fury rematch.......wed have that already and prob be getting Ortiz/AJ right now

        be prepared

        fury ran from rematch

eddie hearn made two joke "offers"(if youd even call them that) to wilder which were proven to be a joke when skipper offered him more than double the best offer......problem is skipper needs that fight for his app...but it does most money in vegas with US ppv........not once have skipper and hearn come with a deal that involved us ppv and vegas.......once they do that fight will be easy to make

but neither of those parties seem real interested and haymon has to do something....might not be a great rematch we want to see....but it was a FOTY type of fight and they can play it up as Ortiz having wilder in some trouble and being one of the few that ever has had that

Ortiz with a likely 25% share of purse is not gonna get what Fury got with a 50% share of a bigger fight, it's simple and thats the truth.

Also why can't Haymon start shipping AJ some Showtime offers to test the waters and show that they back there estimates of the fight value being greater on PPV? Until then it looks like they're just holding the WBC belt for ransom and they don't want that fight.

you know, ive though about that myself....and its not out of the realm of possibility.....I could see it

wilder has been talking some hard stuff about miller....he may play the angle of "im gonna be the one to erase this cheat from the sport once and for all"......and it makes sense in BK .....wilders second home its becoming and of course miller hailing from there

            you may be right

but I also think it might be better for them to keep miller in their pocket for next year if they can and need him too

no one is going to pay 70 for that... not saying is a bad fight, but those two cant really headline a succesfull ppv at this point, imo...

I think Kownacki is next for him, not Ortiz. Screw Ortiz.

haymon may have to overpay Ortiz in this instance(I said this in my post)......wasn't hearn willing to offer his guy more (miller) than the outside guy (Ortiz)? ....

so Ortiz would walk away doing just fine in this scenario I think...unless hes truly brainwashed his guys like some people think lol
