    money for fighting Joshua?

Matchroom wants to run their boxing promotion like Walmart

They want to make billions while paying their associates minimum
Well ortiz just got an offer that is 10 times more than when he fought wilder lol.

You are saying a 5 million offer as joshuas b-side is compareable to minimum wage? And why are you singling out matchroom though? That shows your bias.
Most of Mayweathers and pacquiaos b-sides earned less or similar to ortiz 5 milion offer even when you are taking inflation into account and those two were bigger cash cows than joshua currently is.

Ortiz should've been the original opponent

        Miller was never worth 6.5

Ortiz should've never said he'd fight AJ no matter the money (foot in mouth)

        Ortiz aint worth 10M

but is he worth the 6.5 ? yep

both are on short notice to adjust to styles. so AJ has no advantage here

hearn will counter with 6.5 and ortiz better bite

ok, that is a fair point. Can't argue. Hopefully Ortiz settles on a number and makes the fight.

Well at short notice Ortiz should really be paid more.

But even still turning down 5 million 'Joshua has all of these heavyweights shook up'.

              Ortiz - Lowball, i want 10 mil.

              there you go.
and then there are folks in here calling "10 mill or bust" a proper negotiating strategy.

              /thread.

You do know Ortiz has fought a few times since loosing to Wilder right? Why no one has really mentioned those fights? They were all undercard fights for other fighters! No one will pay Ortiz any mind unless he fights Wilder or Joshua! Ortiz has been only making $200,000 - 400,000 per fight since banking $500,000 vs Wilder! I do believe his team is not doing right by him! Sorry to say but Ortiz will never be a headliner, cash cow, popular fighter! He deserves a big payday and this was his chance!

It does not matter what Ortiz made in the past.
What was Matchroom paying Miller for the fight?
Whatever it was, Ortiz deserves more, especially to take
such an important fight on relatively short notice.

People saying he should get as much or more than Miller are ******ed, no surprise they are mostly Wilder fans.

The reason they picked Miller and overpaid him is because he was a top 10, undefeated, American which would help sell Joshua's first fight in America.

Well, while you watch Joshua vs Hunter, you can enjoy the fact
that Ortiz is not going to be over-payed. That's the most important
thing to a boxing fan, right?
