Realisticly, Who Should Shane Fight Next?

I've always thought Mosley had the best potential chance against Mayweather. The form Mosley displayed against Vargas in the rematch was very sharp but he's not going to duplicate that connect percentage against the slippery Floyd.
This leads to the next point w/ Mosley. He used to show superb body punching skills. Some of the best I've seen(when he did it).
He absolutely must bodypunch frequently against Mayweather or he'll get counterpunched to death.
The speed factor is close but Mayweather has him by a half a notch. Mayweather has a big edge in defense. He has such great perception and the reflexes to back it up.
This fight would be worth a ppv cost.
Mosley should definitely fight a tune up......I think he should fight a "descent welter" in November and then fight Floyd early next year. Margarito and Cotto would be bad choices. I think Shane would probably beat either but even if he won they would be taxing fights.
Mosley is 34 and could "grow old" overnight and we could see a mismatch with Floyd.
However, I don't think Shane will get old overnight. He lives clean and trains hard.Comment

Couldn't agree more!Originally posted by uncle paulyMosley is 34 and could "grow old" overnight and we could see a mismatch with Floyd.
Immediately would be the right time to fight Floyd if he really wants to fight him
I think that this will be a great match!
Mosley will have the edge in power while floyd with the overall boxing skill

I totally agree with your point. I've always thought than Mosely would present PBF with problems he's never faced. Judah had the power to hurt PBF but not the ring smarts. Mosely has the speed, technique, & power to land on PBF & hurt him. I believe this fight would be tougher than any fight he's had yet & that includes JLC & a possible future fight with Margarito.Originally posted by DLTThis is my view of Floyd. I honestly believe that pound for pound he is the best fighter out there and his skill level is superior to Margarito, Oscar, and even Shane.
With that being said, Im not dumb. Floyd is getting to the weight class where he could be in trouble. People dont give him enough credit for what he does weight wise. I watch tapes of all these guys fight and then you put in a tape of Floyd and he looks like he is so much smaller then everyone, so for him to fight these guys that are much bigger then him says alot about how good he id and his talent.
He relisiticaly should be at 140 right now and I still think he can fairly easily make 135. Thats why none of those matches against those huge guys are certainties and e****ally if it were to happened at 154. I think Shane presents more problems then anyone because he is stronger and faster then both Margarito & Oscar.
I dont think anyone else at 147 has any kind of chance vs Floyd except for those 3 but again, I think they only have a chance because of size. The thing is that if Floyd wins another fight or 2 then he will get more and more use to the weight so if Shane doesnt take advantage of it now then he will have no chance later on because Floyd will have filled in more.Comment
